erlingmm Posted October 31, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 31, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) My X Vario has sensor dust after my wife had the camera in Namibia. Anybody else have experienced this? Any advice? Or will I just have to send it in til Solms for cleaning? My local store has a repair department, but they cannot help. Manoleica Posted October 31, 2014 Share #2 Posted October 31, 2014 Only Leica ever touch my Leica's.. Sadly you will be without the camera for some time.
davidmknoble Posted October 31, 2014 Share #3 Posted October 31, 2014 Interesting delimma. Guess you cannot remove the lens, so I agree, Leica is the only one qualified to clean that sensor..... I'm guessing dust got in through the twisting of the lens barrel..... Best of luck, and I hope it isn't gone too long...
alexander Posted November 1, 2014 Share #4 Posted November 1, 2014 I also have dust on my sensor since a few days.........
thighslapper Posted November 2, 2014 Share #5 Posted November 2, 2014 If it is still within warranty send it back for cleaning .... it will take around 2 weeks ( in Europe, anyway) Mine had a couple of eyelashes that suddenly appeared on the sensor after a few months use and it was cleaned without question. I suspect your dust was there from manufacture and has been dislodged during your travels .....
