PNCD Posted October 28, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 28, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) The problem that I had with DNG files becoming dramatically corrupted ha snow happened again with files saved on a lower spec SD card. I believe that the problem now is not to do with the card but the latest Leica firmware - no problems before, only problems after. Does anyone know how to get a response from Leica, except by offering to buy a 24k gold commemoration issue? Thank you for your help, as always. Advertisement Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Hi PNCD, Take a look here Leica Contact. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
mirekti Posted October 28, 2014 Share #2 Posted October 28, 2014 I had positive experience in contacting Leica US and Germany, and would get an answer within a day or two. Of course, the nature of your problem might be the reason for this. If your issue is not so common I feel the only way to get it fixed is by sending the camera in. bocaburger Posted October 28, 2014 Share #3 Posted October 28, 2014 If it was a general firmware bug then more people if not most people would be having it, so the first thing I would do would be re-download the update file again from Leica's website and then reload the firmware into the camera. chris_tribble Posted October 28, 2014 Share #4 Posted October 28, 2014 What's the card? I've been using legitimate Sandisk and Panasonic cards and never a glitch. Latest firmware.
CheshireCat Posted October 28, 2014 Share #5 Posted October 28, 2014 Re-flashing the firmware won't help. May be a media error on both SD cards, or power problem. You may try with a different battery, fully charged. As a workaround, shooting DNG uncompressed should minimize the corruption.
