Leica MM with Viso 3 plus home made R to M adaptor with 60mm Macro Elmarit R . Adaptor comprises M body cap and R lens rear cap glued together with epoxy after removing centres with coping saw. Usable from approx half life size to life size i.e. 0.5 to 1.0 magnification so will choose subject matter to suit. Plan to use it with a copy stand.

Also have an IFLEX for the project:

… Q&D pics  … I'm surprised it fits because thought only the Viso 3 is compatible.

Universal Focusing bellows which fits the IFLEX is not shown.

Also, found my missing 22228 R to M adaptor this afternoon which is thinner than my home-made version … and when I tried some Q&Ds with the MM / Viso 3 / 22228 / 60mm R, the focus seemed to be OK .. but need to try it on a copy stand to be sure. Magnification is too high for most purposes but will also try with a 100mm Macro Elmar R which should reduce mag. to enable imaging larger subjects … I hope.

I use a Kippon adapter for Hasselblad lenses.

And for the focus, well, it's the hard part... there is none as well as you don't get any frame either.

So you have to guess and try several times to get the right frame you want.

For focus i use a small rope with a distance marked on it, attached to the plan film and i focus my lens at this mark... and ask my model to pull the rope under the eyes.

There is a lot of center flare coming inside the lens if there are lights behind your subject, so you have to use side lights only and with low contrast (not too bright).

It's kind of an experiment but i tend to get it right with time...

And after i print large (20'x30') and it's stunning !
