esquire53 Posted October 28, 2014 Share #1 Posted October 28, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just realized that Apple Aperture loads the library very slow since the upgrade to Yosemite. LR and CR1 do not show the symptoms .... One can only see what the new Photo will do, once out, if ever like Aperture 4 never made it...
Advertisement Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Hi esquire53, Take a look here Apple Aperture and Yosemite. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
trogir13 Posted October 28, 2014 Share #2 Posted October 28, 2014 Simple and very strange fix: Go into settings and turn off iCloud. At this point try Aperture - it should work as it did before. Then turn on iCloud back on and your all set. This worked for me per someone's recommendations in the apple forums. Cheers
esquire53 Posted October 28, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted October 28, 2014 Thanks Trogir, I looked at the iCloud settings and disable the iCloud photo sharing in the options for the iPhoto cloud settings speeds it up to normal. I turned the sharing on again and it is still fast. I will now power cycle the Mac and see how it will act now. Best regards Uwe

trogir13 Posted October 28, 2014 Share #5 Posted October 28, 2014 Very Welcome! A weird one for sure - but very happy its back - and faster for me, Lets pray the PHOTO app keeps the architecture or offers a "pro" upgrade like most of the 3rd party processing apps are doing now. I have spoken to a couple and they say they are working with Apple on PHOTO - so that makes me happy. Time will tell - but for now - happy.
