hiphop Posted May 8, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 8, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I might have the opportunity to buy a leica lense M39 mount (LTM, Leica thread mount, screw mount). Of course I will need a M39 to M adapter ring in order to use it on my M8. What are your advice on using an M39 mount with adapter ring for an M8. Any problem known ? Advertisement Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Hi hiphop, Take a look here M39 mount for M8 ?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
cbretteville Posted May 8, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 8, 2007 I regularly use Voigtlander lenses on my M6 and M8 that are screw mount. With the appropriate adapter it is almost like using an M-mount lens. I have no reservetions in doing it. - C
stephengilbert Posted May 8, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 8, 2007 hiphop, When buying a mount, you should know that there are two designs. One is cut out in the area where the coding should be, and the other fills in that area. You don't want the cut out version as it will make it difficult or impossible to code. I'd ask John Milich about this. Steve
