stuny Posted May 8, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 8, 2007 Pete - Do they come with A/C, Bluetooth wireless and CD changer? Nice shot, and my envy factor just soared.
elansprint72 Posted May 8, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted May 8, 2007 Neil, You had just driven round the back at the time, I think. It's #8. Stuart, I think that Neil's car has all those things, of course it is slightly newer and two inches taller.
elansprint72 Posted May 8, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted May 8, 2007 Here's #2. The colour shots are from the D2, the "1966" version from the FZ-30 I think that I posted the B&W one on the old forum.
abrewer Posted May 9, 2007 Share #6 Posted May 9, 2007 Nice shots Pete. If I'm not mistaken these are from the Fortieth Anniversary celebration of the Ford GT's victory, that was held about a year ago at this place, called... ...LeMans, France. Am I right Pete? Thanks. Allan Allan, I believe there was some sort of Ford sideshow going on, the main event was to celebrate four ancient Lotus Elans being from the North of England without breaking down! It was the best event I've been to, ever.
stuny Posted May 9, 2007 Share #8 Posted May 9, 2007 Pete - Thanks for adding more GT40 shots -- One of my all-time favorite autos (I guess there would be around 20 on that list).
neila Posted May 10, 2007 Share #9 Posted May 10, 2007 Ah yes, the sideshow! :-)
stuny Posted May 10, 2007 Share #10 Posted May 10, 2007 Neil - That has to be a significant percentage of the total production of this too short-lived retro-supercar.
elansprint72 Posted May 10, 2007 Author Share #11 Posted May 10, 2007 Stuart, You're correct- perhaps Neil can recall how many GTs were there (it was more than shown in his photo), but it gets better....... apart from the new GTs and the "real" GT40s, there were loads of replicas/recreations/continuations; most of which were to factory standards.
