South Bird Posted October 9, 2014 Share #1 Â Posted October 9, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just received a used 80-200 f4 and the front element just distal to the focus adjustment is a little loose. I can't see any easily accessible screws. I've never encountered this with a Leica lens. Is this normal on this lens? It otherwise is in good condition. Advertisement Posted October 9, 2014 Posted October 9, 2014 Hi South Bird, Take a look here Leica 80-200 f4. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted October 10, 2014 Share #2 Â Posted October 10, 2014 I've had the front of my 80-200 loosen a bit so that it wobbles. I had it serviced for that a few years ago, but the wobble eventually returned. When I use my R8/DMR this is the lens that I have on the camera most of the time. bocaburger Posted October 11, 2014 Share #3 Â Posted October 11, 2014 "distal" ? Are you perhaps a dentist? I would send it to DAG if he works on those lenses, I bet he can fix it so it won't come loose again. That's assuming you don't just want to send it back. I had one of those but I don't recall anything being loose. I recently repurchased the 70-210/4 in bargain condition for $200 and it's as tight as bark on a tree.
