It's taken a few years, but I finally found a case for the iid with a Scnoo winder.

Most have been upwards of 300-500usd

So I jumped on it

Just don't know why the top part is elevated

But now I Can get the case for when I'm not using the winder

My biggest concern is the strap. I don't want the 80 yr old leather to give way and drop the camera

Any suggestions?

Here's the case:::

The high top gives room to close the case when there's an accessory viewfinder in the hot shoe, e.g. for a 3.5c lens. It looks as if it would also accommodate one of the modern Voigtlander shoe-mount exposure meters.

If the strap is dry and stiff, there are various sorts of leather foods/conditioners that will make it more supple and less likely to crack, and help maintain its strength. I used these successfully long ago on old Leica cases ... but they were then only 40-50 years old not 80<g>. After such a long period the stitching may also be rotten and weak, although from the photographs it looks as if the case may have been re-stitched at some time in its life (the stitches don't seem quite as straight and even as one expects from the originals). A leather worker with the right experience will be able to fit a new strap and the little retaining straps. This would solve the breakage problem, but I don't think it would be possible to make the new leather match the old case.

Yup ! It's probably one of the less common cases... and you paid a very good price :); I am not sure about its code... maybe ETRNA.. or EFGOD... :confused:... the nose seems of the size which allows to mount even the Summarit 50 1,5... and it could accomodate even a big multifocal finder like VIOOH...

Surely it's a pity to throw away its original strap, but finding an original in better conditions ought not to be difficult...
