IkarusJohn Posted September 29, 2014 Share #7 Posted September 29, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) When I was there in April, I met a friend for lunch (Hundred Acres - very nice). We waited in Washington Square (the view behind is of the Freedom Tower (which I found touching). Anyway, middle of a Sunday, dogs everywhere and there's a guy under the arch playing a grand piano. A GRAND PIANO! Leaving aside the relatively poor sound quality, this guy was enjoying himself, and seemed entirely at home. The logistics of getting the piano there and back is another thing entirely. Sorry we didn't catch up Stu - I would have liked that. Cheers John
stuny Posted September 30, 2014 Author Share #8 Posted September 30, 2014 Paul & James - Thank you. John - Thank you. Actually, we're looking north and that's the Empire State Building. Hopefully you'll be in town again and we can meet. We've been to Auckland three times but do not expect to be able to return.
