It would solve rolling shutter, which is the main complaint on the A7S from a video standpoint. The electronic shutter would work much better as well. The downside to global shutters are big though: With global shutter you will lose DR and ISO since the global shutter occupies space that otherwise would be gathering light on the sensor. But I hope that once the technology improves that global shutters will be the next thing. Mix that with a curved sensor and voila... Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
