I experienced that those files can NOT be opened with Photoshop 8.0.1. Right? Goal: The .NEF files should be opened and processed in the JPEG format with the software as listed below: - Mac OS X - Adobe Photoshop 8.0.1 Please provide me with quick and helpful answers. mikeadams Posted May 6, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 6, 2007 NEF is what I get from my Nikon D-200, but when I first got the camera last year I had to download the AC RAW plug-in update from Adobe. ho_co Posted May 6, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 6, 2007 Andreas-- "NEF" files are Nikon RAW files. Check to be sure you have the latest compatible version of Adobe Camera Raw. NEF is nothing new, so it should be openable in any RAW processor.
