Einst_Stein Posted September 15, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 15, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) When I attach a mini leica flash (the one meant for the old film p&e leica kink), and set the dial to aperture priority, it won't fire. I wad expecting the shutter speed to be the same as if no flash, so that I can adjust the aperture to match the GN number of the flash. This is what I do with in lens shutter. I understand with focal careen shutter, the shutter speed has to be slower than, say, 125th second. How do you use fill flash? I am shooting landscape with strong back light, and I want to light up the face of people.
Advertisement Posted September 15, 2014 Posted September 15, 2014 Hi Einst_Stein, Take a look here M9 till light, using flash with aperture priority. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted September 15, 2014 Share #2 Posted September 15, 2014 Just set the shutter speed to sync or slower ( the red flash symbol on the dial) and get your exposure with the aperture. The flash won't fire if the shutter speed is faster, Use an ND filter if you cannot get a slow enough shutter speed.
