Welcome to the Forum !!!

To try an answer, it would be better to have some pictures of your camera (attaching pictures is easy : "clipboard" symbol, then follw the instructions, keeping care to max file dimensions) ; from s/n, yours ought to be a Leica Standard... which indeed can also be named as "Leica I Standard" (or "Model E") ... but usually "Leica I" identifies the very first model, which hasn't interchangable lenses and wasn't made anymore in 1935 (though some sources do report few sparse items made in years 33-36) . I suppose the "1" is engraved on the top of the viewfinder, and it would be interesting to see how this engraving is styled ... it is surely an oddity... does it look an original / factory made engraving ? The only hipotesis that comes to my mind is that it was so identified because was a non std. add-on accessory... I mean, Leica Standard were usually provided with the finder, but some sources report that, with code LESOR, the Standard was sold also as a kit in leather bag with three lenses, rangefinder, and the multifocal VISOR viewfinder.... the standard finder for 5cm lenses was not, afaik, listed as an accessory (there was the WEISU for 3,5 cm):maybe, if a customer wanted the 5cm finder, it could be obtained from the factory, which identified it with the engraving....

Ok, I attached an image. It is definitely factory made. Viewfinder has screws, but has anyone ever changed one? this is definitely unique. could be true, that the viewfinder once has been replaced.

The Elmar Serial is 224003. There is no coupled RF. I guess that would be very unlikely for that model.

I also got a Leica III that has coupling but is not comparable to anything today. However its in superb condition and fits nicely in the cabinet :D

Interestingly the Leica Standard is supposed to be from 1935 but I doubt the Elmar has been bought appart from the camera and is from 1934 according to SN list. So both should be either from 1934 or 1935. But the serial number lists tell both would be from different years.... peculiar.
