laffertyphotography Posted September 12, 2014 Share #1 Posted September 12, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just bought this on ebay. For the 1A 1B Just a bit concerned that it may be a reprint and not 1928 as claimed. The feel to the cover and pages is glossy/silky which makes me wonder as I had expected the paper to just be old and plain like so many pamphlets of bygone days. Does anyone have similar and can they throw any light on this? Thanks
Advertisement Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Hi laffertyphotography, Take a look here Directions for using the Leica Camera- Instruction Book. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
TomB_tx Posted September 12, 2014 Share #2 Posted September 12, 2014 Check the back cover. I have one where the front cover notes "July 1928/3000" at the bottom left, but the back says "Reprint by MORGAN & MORGAN, INC..." Morgan wrote the series of "Leica Manual" hard-cover books during the LTM years. I was given a 1951 edition, and my copy of the 1928 instructions was tucked inside the front cover. (Don't know if it was included when new or added by the previous owner.)
