pauledell Posted September 9, 2014 Share #2 Posted September 9, 2014 Ece, A stunning picture. Do you put on a collar and leash to walk him in the mornings? Paul
platypus Posted September 9, 2014 Share #3 Posted September 9, 2014 Ece, this is nice...amazing lizard skin detail! No wonder you were happy with it.
k-hawinkler Posted September 9, 2014 Share #4 Posted September 9, 2014 Ece, I agree with Paul and Dee. The bokeh looks a little funky, I would say.
Iduna Posted September 9, 2014 Share #5 Posted September 9, 2014 Ece, this is an amazing picture with high IQ. The mentioned "funky" bokeh is adding to the picture because it is showing how camouflage works perfecly here. The lizard skin is so rich in detail and if you have discovered how its eye is being focussed on you one get squite ecited.
Hank Taylor Posted September 9, 2014 Share #6 Posted September 9, 2014 Ece, you did well, his skin and the color is amazing, where did you take this shot? Hank

allamande Posted September 9, 2014 Author Share #8 Posted September 9, 2014 Paul, Dee, K.-H., Iduna, Hank, Tom, and Robert, Thank you for taking a look at this fella and for your generous comments. I must say, this one stopped me on my tracks and made me second guess my decision to return this camera... Paul, I give this guy a few flies every now and then, he follows me around, no need for a leash K.-H., the bokeh is more than funky. I guess the lens produces this kind of effect when the background has this kind of texture and also the distance to subject is relatively close. These are twigs and leaves (mostly pine needles) covering the ground. I used to have a CV 35 that used to produce busy bokeh like this. As Iduna says, in this case I liked it because it looks like a natural extension of the lizard (or the other way around?). Hank, this is around the corner from where I live, on the old Irvine Ranch lands (Bonita Camp) which is part of the UC campus now. Despite all these years of dense development, wildlife still hangs on (including the coyotes though in much smaller numbers now). I am glad you liked this guy. The detail surprised me too.
