My new companion....

I go back and forth between the M7 and the MP. I prefer the AE of the M7, especially since I almost always want to set the aperture and then vary the shutter speed to get the right exposure, and the MP's shutter dial isn't very ergonomic to move easily with a fingertip. On the other hand I like the rewind of the MP, which feels more sturdy, and the fact it's not so dependent on batteries. On balance, if I were to do it again I would probably have two M7s rather than one of each.

Chris

Yes Chris M7 is very convenient especially for a subject taken by surprise,

that's practical side that I love this camera.

The MP should be to shoot "well thought" that takes its time, I think the two are complementary.

I ordered the MA but I'm afraid I'll miss a few pictures ... I get out my Lightmeter Lunasix Gossen

Chris,as I said above , I have 2 M7 with a lens on each body , no need to change :)

Henry

I also considering an M-A because i love the "all mechanical" Leica, but what i remember as a hassel from my M4 shooting days, is the light reading with ND filters, which i use in different grade all the time...not so funny to first measuring light, then calculate in the ND grade to to the reading...uhhh, shot long gone, so I may just keep my M7 and be happy with that instead...but M-A is tempting, and we should buy it just for supporting Leica for their making of a new film camera in 2014...that alone need praise...!

The last two days, I make enlargements in b&w (on photographic paper Ilford) with this magnifier for my sister, claiming me photos of

Mont Saint Michel, to hang in their living room.

A great pleasure for me :)

Sometimes a friend prints on his Epson printer inkjet (printer that is very expensive) photos for me but I'm not satisfied at all in b&w.

With this laboratory installed, I can print now on photographic paper.

It is a piece that I share with lingerie in my house

You will notice an indispensable tap water for photo works and a window next to ventilate and several outlets :) note for the younger

I hope this snow is still there when we have coffee in August Henry. It is a novelty I do not see very often, if at all.

Gary sorry not pay attention to your post, now that you're back in New Zeland

This year we have no snow at all  and unfortunately no pictures !
