tobey bilek Posted September 6, 2014 Share #7 Posted September 6, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) My first camera was a RF, Waltz Envoy with 50 2.0 Nippon Koago or Nikkor. It was pre Nikon F so there were no slr cameras commonly available. Used it until 1966 when I bought a Pentax Spotmatic and 6 lenses all in one go, Altman Camera, Chicago. Used that for 10/12 years until I discovered Leica, Then went to Nikon for digital. I now have Leica and Nikon digital . My son will inherit them. No more GAS

Hope you still have the Waltz Envoy! thanks for reading by the way.
tobey bilek Posted September 7, 2014 Share #9 Posted September 7, 2014 Do not still have the Envoy. The transport mechanism failed when I was a senior in college and was uneconomical to repair. Plus I was desperate for interchangeable lenses. It must have been a rare model though. I have looked up the Waltz history and could never find a model with the 2.0 NIKOR. There was a Leica R set also. Some lenses and all the new bodies were sold to finance my M9. I kept the 21, 28 & 35 pc, 60 , 100 APO and they now have Nikon mounts. The 400 and 560 also easily adapt to Nikon or M as they have the M tube.
