? Spot Focus?

Hi all, has anyone used the Spot Focus? it seems awfully small to be able to collect light/contrast info etc.. For what situation would you recommend it's use?

Many Tx in advance........... :)

It is a common feature on most PDAF cameras now.

It is useful for more accurate focusing, e.g. on someone's eye rather then general face or nose.

For larger areas, like buildings, cars, people at a distance, etc. probably better to use large focus point, as the camera is less likely to get confused.

Saying that I keep all my PDAF cameras on spot focus all the time as I appreciate the precision.

My standard profile includes 1-Point focusing which is safe and accurate with general shooting. When I need extra precision I manually set to Spot, but revert to my standard profile.
