pauledell Posted August 7, 2014 Share #2 Posted August 7, 2014 A fine pair with excellent composition, timing, tones and sharpness. The first shot appears to catch a guy that is not overjoyed having his picture taken. The second picture has great timing with almost everyone looking to their left, perhaps at some event. That makes me want to get into the picture and see whats happening. Paul

They were not together but were in almost identical pose and i liked the way they looked with Dior in the backgroud. I took my time on the second frame as I often do and wait for the subject to be aware of me. I don't subscribe to this 'being invisible' thing. Although I do alter my shooting style depending on lots of stuff. I love tourists in NYC and I admit I sometimes get a kick out of very direct photography of them. In the frame of the two women I walked right up, took my time and they both turned to avoid being photographed, yet I wonder also what they might have been looking at! It's also nice that I had a bodyguard and fellow photographer with me..he's in the Dior frame with the backpack..
k-hawinkler Posted August 7, 2014 Share #4 Posted August 7, 2014 Great shots. The title reminds me of Sessions at West 54th - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. I have a copy of the John Prine performance. Terrific music!
