Advertisement Posted August 7, 2014 Posted August 7, 2014 Hi paulholland27, Take a look here Leica M9 Top Plate swapping - anyone ever done it?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
TheLocust Posted August 7, 2014 Author Share #22 Posted August 7, 2014 A Leica Panda is typically chrome with black dials. What you have here is an 'anti-panda' like the M6 below..... Leica M6 Anti-Panda I know, but "Anti-Panda" is silly English. In the fashion industry they do this as well, when the colors are reversed they use the prefix "un-" (Blue and Black instead of Black and Blue would be "Un-Tiffany"). Anti-Panda makes it sound like I hate bears. lol
TheLocust Posted August 7, 2014 Author Share #23 Posted August 7, 2014 The Sonnetar looks interesting. is it any good? It's awesome! Soft as hell wide open, but the size, weight, and ludicrous speed easily make up for it. Not to mention the price.!
TomB_tx Posted August 7, 2014 Share #24 Posted August 7, 2014 I know, but "Anti-Panda" is silly English. Besides, it seems to be a typo. It should be "Andy Panda" - as any of us old enough to remember the Walter Lantz cartoon character from the 1930s & 40s would recognize.
TheLocust Posted August 9, 2014 Author Share #25 Posted August 9, 2014 New, better photographs of the work done. Noticed it the first day, but the hot shoe is slightly crooked. I might bring it back for him to adjust since he said could be done, so maybe next week. Enjoy! Welcome, dear visitor!
