jamriman Posted August 7, 2014 Share #21 Â Posted August 7, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just bought the new design. Not to change the topic but did anyone buy the adapter for this lens for the M240? I have the older adapter which is coupled. I was going to sell it but I still would like to use the optical VF as opposed to live view. Any thoughts? Thanks.

I have the old lens and old adapter, and now I am selling the old adapter and getting the new one. Using the OVF was not something I ever liked with macro work. I think the new adapter gives more flexibility in terms of the 90mm ME and is usable on older lenses too. Of course once you put the new adapter on you must use the EVF but I think the framing is going to be more accurate, which is important in Macro. Â However, the Optical viewfinder with goggles works fine on the M240 (I have tried it) and I see no reason it wouldn't work with the new lens. Â FWIW, the new lens lacks a second, distance scale for macro. Â Jeff
