albert Posted May 2, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted May 2, 2007 Hello John, I will get to work now that our flowers are finally coming out of the ground. This little camera is very promising. Macro-wise it delivers like the D1 with the additional benefits of more pixels, better color, and ease of use. The D2 was a a tough macro-shooter. I still have all three but the D-Lux 3 seems to be my new girl.
stuny Posted May 2, 2007 Share #4 Posted May 2, 2007 Al - Besides all it can do, the D-Lux-3 has the virtue of being small enough to be with you always. With this image I love the color and transillumination of the subject flower but think it either needs a lot of cloning out of background, or cropping and cloning as shown on this image, assuming it will download:
albert Posted May 2, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted May 2, 2007 Stuart, Good ideas. I can use all the help I can get. John has also trained me well when it comes to flowers. I was just being naughty, and contrary, with my post. Seriously, the D-Lux 3 is going to be a kick-butt macro-shooter. Thank You, Al
