1234 Posted July 4, 2014 Share #1 Posted July 4, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I cannot read the small fonts, especially white on black, on my 1440x900 screen. Tried to increase the font size via the Preferences option and they did get bigger but now are too big such that one cannot see all the information on the page. It is possible to move the page down and to the left and to the right but I cannot move the page UP so as to see its lower portion. As a result I cannot "apply" or "restart" to change the fonts back to a smaller size! I uninstalled the program and reinstalled thinking it would revert to the original default but no, it maintains the too-large size. There is presumably an easy way out of my dilemma but unknown to me. Google search does not gives encouragement. Also, is there a way to make it the conventional black on white rather than white on black? thanks much.
Advertisement Posted July 4, 2014 Posted July 4, 2014 Hi 1234, Take a look here Lightroom font size too small. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
pop Posted July 4, 2014 Share #2 Posted July 4, 2014 Try double-clicking the title bar of the window. This should render the window in full screen mode, thus actually reducing it in size in your case. Then you should gain access to any buttons in the lower part of the window. I can't help you with your other issues, though, as I'm not familiar enough with the product. If you're on a Mac, try clicking on the green button in the top left corner, instead. 1234 Posted July 4, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted July 4, 2014 Thank you for the suggestion Philipp. I did double click on the home page of the Lightroom program and that did reduce its size slightly. However, when I then click on any tab or menu entry at the top of that page, opening a new one, the new page is too tall and clicking on it does nothing. I cannot get to the lower portion and access text or buttons there. Guess I have to find out where Lightroom saves certain data that are not removed by uninstalling the program to solve it. I deleted all my photos and that did not help. Harry
1234 Posted July 4, 2014 Author Share #4 Posted July 4, 2014 Perhaps should have mentioned using Windows 7 and Lightroom 5.2 or 5.5 on Lenovo Thinkpad PC. I note via Google search that many others are unhappy with the font size and inability to adjust it.
