marc_dufour Posted May 1, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted May 1, 2007 Azzo, Thanks a lot for your comments and wishes. It's really interesting to play with Digilux 3, and open new possibilities but, sincerely, I shall follow using my accurate R6.2 ! Marc

marc_dufour Posted May 2, 2007 Author Share #5 Posted May 2, 2007 Thanks, Stu. This one begins to approach to what I want to do with this camera. I hope so. Marc
hdg Posted May 2, 2007 Share #6 Posted May 2, 2007 Hi Marc, very interesting. I made nearly the same pictures to test my new D-Lux 3 at the Belgium coast some weeks ago. And I discovered the same pink sand-coloring. It`s no problem to remove it but it seems to be a typical effect of the D-Lux 3. By this way I bought this small camera to take it with in any case. In the meantime I like it more and more because it is very handy (about 250 g compared with about 2,5 kg of my R9-DMR-Combo). I feel the technical quality of the RAW-pictures is very high. Much fun and best regards, Hans
marc_dufour Posted May 2, 2007 Author Share #7 Posted May 2, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks for your time and comments, Hans. I'm just beginning to play with the Raw format, and it seems a good tool. But I'm eager to receive the adapter wich allows use the R Lenses. Did you try it? kuddel Posted May 2, 2007 Share #9 Posted May 2, 2007 Marc, very nice beach scene. I like the almost classic style with beach grass and the wide opened sea. To me it is the best of your three beach postings. Regards, Andreas
marc_dufour Posted May 2, 2007 Author Share #10 Posted May 2, 2007 Agree with your criteria, Andreas. The fact is this one is the nearest of my usual way to get pictures... I'm still learning with this camera ! Thanks for your time and kind comments. Marc
hdg Posted May 3, 2007 Share #11 Posted May 3, 2007 Hi Marc, is there an adaptor or do you expect it? I have a lot of very nice R-lenses. But look at my R9-DMR-dng picture (Vario R 21-35 mm). Regards Hans
marc_dufour Posted May 3, 2007 Author Share #12 Posted May 3, 2007 Hello, Hans The picture was done with the original lens, the 14-50 ASPH wich comes with the D3. In this moment I'm expecting the adapter I bought the last week to a german eBay dealer. I'm in the mood to try it with the R-lenses I got over the years. Fine pict you sent, Hans. Any reason for using dng file? cheers, Marc
hdg Posted May 3, 2007 Share #13 Posted May 3, 2007 Yes Sir, the best way to make more of your pictures. This picture was one of my first dng´s made with my new DMR in August 2005. In the meantime I have shot more than 10000, I think. Marc, if you have learned to work with RAW-datas you will never take others. Try it with Lightroom and you will see the results. Look at this (developed with CS2). MfG Hans
marc_dufour Posted May 3, 2007 Author Share #14 Posted May 3, 2007 Hi Hans, A superb result, without any doubt. Actually I import the files from D-Lux 3 with Photoshop Elements, and later I work with CS2. D-Lux 3 only works with JPG and RAW files. Leica offers DNG format in the DMR settings only. As DNG were presented by Adobe in 2004, I think that Leica could have included it in D-Lux 3 settings. An omission? Cheers, Marc
