dseelig Posted May 1, 2007 Share #1 Posted May 1, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) John Milch is 6 bit coding my zeiss 25 I got the mount from zeiss . H e has 2 methods one is to have the screw in the 6 bit area left alone and one is too remove that screw and replace it with a peiece of metal more expensive and leaves the screw out. . Have people had trouble getting the zeiss lenses too be recognized as 6 bit coded or should I not worry about the lens having one less screw in the mount and have it more easily recognized as 6 bit coded Thanks everyone David
Advertisement Posted May 1, 2007 Posted May 1, 2007 Hi dseelig, Take a look here having a Zeiss lens 6 bit coded. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted May 1, 2007 Share #2 Posted May 1, 2007 No problem; the screw is countersunk and will be painted over by the coding.
jlm Posted May 1, 2007 Share #3 Posted May 1, 2007 as it turns out, the screw is exactly under one of the recesses; it does not overlap two recesses. It should hold that coding position as well as a recess.
dhoelscher Posted May 1, 2007 Share #4 Posted May 1, 2007 Hey John, Any chance this would work on the Zeiss 15mm f/2.8 ??? (Similar issues, I would assume) .. plus the mount would need to be changed to bring up the 28/90 framelines, correct?
