pauledell Posted June 5, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 5, 2014 Al, A great capture. At least you didn't try to get closer and become bear bait. Paul
fotografr Posted June 5, 2014 Share #3 Posted June 5, 2014 There's only one way to handle this kind of robbery. Get a nice long switch and run up and give them a good whack on the ass.
jlindstrom Posted June 5, 2014 Share #4 Posted June 5, 2014 Or get big caliber rifle & put a Leica scope on it. Next time they show up, get some nice bear furr in front of your fireplace ;-) Seriously though, that's scary! I'd like to see, enjoy & photograph bears in the wild.. but having them roam freely in my backyard would seriously bother me. //Juha
Iduna Posted June 5, 2014 Share #5 Posted June 5, 2014 Al, what kind of wilderness are you living in? - Good job of the X1. Take care and try to keep them off your backyard. Thanks for sharing this adventure, I can feel my heart bump...
Northwest Wanderer Posted June 6, 2014 Share #6 Posted June 6, 2014 Good capture Al. Bears are always interesting to watch. These two seem very at ease in your presence.

albert Posted June 6, 2014 Author Share #8 Posted June 6, 2014 Yeah, Black Bears. I shoooooed them off to save most of the dog food (very expensive with salmon etc.), They came back and ate their 33%. It was fun. My mistake, I left the garage door open while putting together a new wind surfer………. We call the local bear: "The Little Man of the forest". They are my friends.
