I would be interested in having a top plate without the M and the Leica logo. Is this something they would do? Is it even available as an a-la-carte option? I'd like to have a different leatherette and I wanted to check out Leica first, before I ask external services (camera leather.com…?). I've read somewhere here on the Forum, that you could buy a custom leather and Leica would mount it for you. The CS told me, they would not do that. But they offer to customize it using their own leather. Unfortunately the Leica custom leather variety is not so big. I think they offered me 3 choices. It's a 10 minute job and there is plenty available on the net ...... Arte di mano. have plenty of choice and quality is excellent .... although the are not by any means the cheapest.....
