Paul J Posted May 30, 2014 Share #21 Posted May 30, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Ouch, yes I see. That is sensor blooming. Do you get this a lot? I've never had that exact artefact and I shoot like that a lot. Have a look at this mess though. Lucky it was nothing important. THAT is taking it to a new level. I've only ever had this once though and my sensor was replaced and I've not had any issues since. Welcome, dear visitor! Advertisement Posted May 30, 2014 Posted May 30, 2014 Hi Paul J, Take a look here there, and back again - M9 for pro work... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
frogfish Posted May 30, 2014 Author Share #22 Posted May 30, 2014 yes, I have it a lot. Can produce it by will. Had it with two M9 and one also with a replaced sensor (other issue). So I think it is normal behavior. Yours look worse of course, but it was a fault right? So not as bad as "normal" behavior. This, and ISO, is the reason I want a 240 again. heiko

zlatkob Posted May 31, 2014 Share #25 Posted May 31, 2014 mainly Voigtländer 35 Nokton, flares like hell, as you can see. But sometime I love the shallow DOF of 1.4. For me, a 35 at 1.4 has a very special feeling, no other lens can give. Just curious, are you using the small 35mm f/1.4 Nokton or the big 35 f/1.2 Nokton? Thanks. frogfish Posted May 31, 2014 Author Share #26 Posted May 31, 2014 Voigtländer 35/1.4 very good in boring light, against the sun flares a lot. Was a deal breaker for me in the beginning and bought the Summilux FLE because of that. Now, I kind of like the fred flares. It´s a lens with character. Decent sharp in the center at 1.4, but be careful to not put a small subject near the corners - veeery soft there. Yes, I know about the geometrical focus shift (0: heiko
