So, who's exchanging black MM for silver?

Thats correct - it reflects its surroundings and is invisible.

My completely unscientific yet depressingly consistent observation is that Leicas are absolutely not, in and of themselves, discrete. I wish that nonsense was laid to rest. It is one's adeptness of technique that makes one's photographing discrete, and this works with almost any camera except perhaps some behemoth DSLR.

thanks,

Why would I? The black MM disappears when it's hanging from my neck and I'm wearing a black t-shirt.
if you wear a white shirt you would look like a black and white minstral

Without hesitation: silver.

I'm partial to silver/grey and black Leicas/cameras, but for the MM the combination of silver and black (with white typeface below the buttons) is quite fitting for the nature of the camera which shoots images in black, white, and grey.

I wanted Black because my M240 is silver but I quite fancy the silver MM as it is a new color............but Black would be more practical as easy to see which one is which but there again my M has a REd 1/2 case so a tan 1/2 cas for the MM would work too
