peggers Posted April 28, 2007 Share #1 Posted April 28, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Guys, I just bought a brace of SanDisk Ultra II 2GB SD cards - have used same media before. No problems in my M8 - filling up 3 and half cards on a trip to Jordan this week. Get home and my Mac will not recognise cards. I use a Lexar single slot USB card readers - nothing. Now the M8 can still play back the images - so I reckon my data must be accessible. Does anyone know how to load from the M8 back to the Mac via the Cable? The instruction manual refers to some "Digital Image" software I can't find on the CD's provided. The camera is recognised as being attached in the remote control software. I'll try and buy a SanDisk reader tomorrow too. But am concerned whether I have bought genuine media - although I thought the M8 would be the fussy one, not my Mac? skimmel Posted April 29, 2007 Share #4 Posted April 29, 2007 I had the same problem. Bought a Sandisk Extreme reader and problem solved. Amazon.com: Sandisk Extreme USB 2.0 Reader: Electronics Good luck and don't worry, Ken Same here. Even (finally) got a tech support response for my other card reader and they said that it didn't work with this card (works with the 1 gb card though). woodda Posted April 29, 2007 Share #5 Posted April 29, 2007 I haev the same problem. My card reader does not accept it but the direct camera transfer works. I think it must be a reader problem with cards bigger than 1gb. Maybe a new bios or driver udpate will fix it

wparsonsgisnet Posted April 30, 2007 Share #8 Posted April 30, 2007 If you're looking for a reader, the Sandisk Multimate's are very nice, and fast. I find this device amazingly fast and convenient, and it's been praised by many other posters.
Photoskeptic Posted April 30, 2007 Share #9 Posted April 30, 2007 I use the same cards, have a Lexar reader and have no problems. I do know you must use the USB cable that came with the reader for it to work. Good luck.
