Herr Barnack Posted May 12, 2014 Share #1  Posted May 12, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Interesting compairson of Leica T vs. Hasselblad Lunar:  Leica T vs. Hasselblad Lunar  JMHO, but I see no reason to buy the Lunar over the T - particularly at almost $7000 USD. I can think of another $7000 USD digital camera that would make MUCH more sense...

jmahto Posted May 12, 2014 Share #2 Â Posted May 12, 2014 24.3 vs 16.3 .... easy win.
viramati Posted May 12, 2014 Share #3 Â Posted May 12, 2014 I believe the lunar is just a Sony Nex-7 in some sort of strange makeup, a bit like the rebadged D-lux series of Pano/leica cameras so it really isn't unique which the T is.
Herr Barnack Posted May 12, 2014 Author Share #4 Â Posted May 12, 2014 24.3 vs 16.3 .... easy win. Â Of course, a 50% increase in megapixels on tap means better print quallity. But doesn't the huge price difference make the increased imae quality seem like a situation of diminishing returns? Â JMHO, but for the cost of the Lunar, it wouldn't take much more of an investment to get an M240...
michaelbrenner Posted May 12, 2014 Share #5 Â Posted May 12, 2014 I find the Lunar a bit ostentatious for my taste. I prefer the (relatively) quiet quality and understated nature of the T. I could easily imagine myself getting candids with the T, but with the Lunar I would likely be more worried about getting mugged than getting the shots. Peter H Posted May 13, 2014 Share #6 Â Posted May 13, 2014 Given the availability of the Sony A7, the only reason why anyone might consider buying the Hasselblad is as a tax dodge. Â And there are more socially acceptable ways of avoiding tax than that, including breaking the law.
