Exactly my first thoughts, great lighting and photos but with so many perverts around, in my view not the best of images to put on public display on a website.

....... Yes, unfortunately, if he was in the UK he would be receiving a visit from the police and a posse of social workers.....

While looking for photo location ideas for an upcoming trip, I stumbled across this website. Leica M Monochrom :Alain Laboile Photographies

As usual, it is not the camera, but the photographer. This guy is very talented with composition, feel, and setting his subjects at ease. He also creates a very consistent look.

He also used a Leica M to create these images.

I know nothing about this person, but given the free feel of these family photos in a natural setting, sure seems like his lifestyle or at least attitude is similar to Sally Mann's

Enjoy

Absolutely stunning work

Thank you for sharing this, this was a visual treat for me

For all of you who have been following this thread, I sent the photographer an e-mail about a week ago informing him that I enjoyed and many people on the Leica forum liked his work. Never heard back, which is fine.

Actually, the link I posted referenced the Leica Monochrom, so he apparently added the Monocrhom to his arsenal of tools after that interview. In any event, his photographs would be instructive and rewarding had he captured them with a point and shoot or an iPhone. At the end of the day, the photographs speak for themselves.

Off course Jack ! ( my comment was meant ironically as in "Oh No, this guy uses Canon gear !). Know that I just love my 5D and 35 1.4 ( but I do find myselve hardly using it, in favour of my Leica), and that I love the kind of work this guy is pulling off.
