I have a Leitz Canada 1:2/35 Summicron Lens 2541691 It LOOKS like a lens Ken Rockwell, identifies that is made in Germany as it has the screw as shown in the image below

It also does not have the normal 5 or 6 hole attachment of the lens mount. What is this lens in reality, what 6 bit code would I use? I have used it on M9 and it works great. But I have no idea really what lens it is.

It is a 11309 Summicron 35 2nd version (6 elements - 1st one had 8) , made mainly in Ontario as detailed on the front engraving (Wetzlar made are much rarer); the mount was different from later lenses, and it had not the 5/6 screws on the flange (same for other lenses of the era... yours can be dated to 1971/1972).

The only significant difference one can encounter between lenses of this generation is the presence, or not, of the small lever for f/stop adjustement, which was a feature introduced and then abandoned during the lifecycle of 11309.

To see a similar item, very close in time to yours, look for instance at this one :

Leica Summicron-M 11309 2/35mm - Summicron-M 2/35mm Schwarz 11309 - Leica M Objektive - LEICA

My suggestion is NOT to code it : making a fine job (milling the mount) is costly and destructs the originality of the lens, and "painted" codes , for my experience, can work or cannot... the reading system has clearly been designed for a certain space between sensors and painted dots.
