xalo Posted April 20, 2014 Share #4 Posted April 20, 2014 Well, Arka Photo in Paris developed the Scala for a very long time — they recommended ISO 400 and it worked well for me. As for all slides, watch the highlights... Actually, an older, lower contrast lens worked well with the Scala (in my case the Xenar of the Rolleicord Va). And if you could get some Scala slides printed on Ilford direct positive paper, please share the experience! Enjoy. Alexander
tadeyev Posted April 21, 2014 Share #5 Posted April 21, 2014 The yellow filter (and other filters) are of course good for any B/W photography, but I have shot Scala for years with and without filters, and it is an amazingly forgiving film, also without any filter added. It depends on the effects (or not) that one wants to achieve of course. Perhaps an even bigger influence is the firm you send it to for development, as it can have a massive effect on the results? My all time favourite film. Great to see others using it too ;-0) and you should do very well together with that beautiful M7! Tadeyev
