Schwital Posted April 17, 2014 Share #1 Posted April 17, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, hope life is good! I still have problems with slow response from my M. When zooming into pictures on the screen zooming lags heavily. Startup lag has almost been fixed. Quick cards (95/formatted regularly) took the time down from 6-8 secs to maybe 2-3 (which is still slow compared to a Nikon). Any tips regarding the playback issue? jaapv Posted April 17, 2014 Share #2 Posted April 17, 2014 On mine about 2 secs to full zoom, after the first zoom on the image instantaneous. Not an issue imo.
Guest alex00 Posted April 17, 2014 Share #3 Posted April 17, 2014 First zoom is an overview image (therefore the response is fast). Subsequent the full-res image is used.

bephoto Posted April 18, 2014 Share #5 Posted April 18, 2014 get the fastest card your wallet can buy. mine with a Lexar 64GB 600X lags 2secs. even your startup time will improve to 1-2secs. once in a while format ur cards with SD Format software. jaapv Posted April 18, 2014 Share #6 Posted April 18, 2014 Why did you get such a huge card? A smaller card usually makes for shorter startup times. I tried an ancient 256 Mb card and got very close to 1 second startup.
Schwital Posted April 18, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted April 18, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks for your tips. Do you think software updates will fix these issues, or does this occur due to the capacity of the hardware in the camera? It should have been unnecessary to even have this discussion regarding such an expensive camera, though...
jaapv Posted April 18, 2014 Share #8 Posted April 18, 2014 It is and will remain a huge amount of data to process for a small computer like a camera. I cannot imagine it will get quicker soon.
