janki Posted April 13, 2014 Share #13  Posted April 13, 2014 Thanks Rodrigue for beautiful images no matter the topic!  At the time you left Lebanon, I served as a dog handler in NORBATT, UNIFIL. It has many times annoyed me, all the exciting pictures I missed because it was simply too dangerous to lift a SLR camera to the eye. In today's digital reality, opportunity for discrete photographing is tremendously much better. In this respect X Vario must be a dream.  Lebanon is a wonderfully diverse and beautiful country. Geographically located at the intersection of major world religions and cultures. Creating peace and stability for all the inhabitants seem almost like a prohibitive task, but have proven to be feasible. Therefore, it is very disturbing that more than one million refugees from the conflict in Syria, once again threaten this very small country’s stability.  It seems to be a universal phenomenon, - that distinctive environments and building traditions, must give way to modern buildings that looks in the same way, wherever you are in the world. I wish you all the best further with your important documentary work, and the photographic career in general.  Regards!
