John Z. Goriup Posted March 24, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted March 24, 2014 Thank you, Stuart That is a '59 Ferrari 410 Superamerica Pinin Farina Coupe. One of 35 built, no two were exactyly alike, since they were all bespoke cars built to individual orders and only after Enzo personally approved the car for production for the client seeking to purchase one. This one is owned by one of the most prolific Ferrari collectors, from your corner of the country, Peter Kalikow. These were large, fast and very expensive cars intended for truly Grand Touring, but developed a reputation for less than reliable service, especially a tendency to overheat in traffic ( how very Italian )……a point proven by the freshly restored black 500 Superfast, the final development of this model line in the early '60s, which, while being staged next to Kalikow's car burst its lower radiator hose with a loud pop, spraying the area with anti-freeze - please see attached.
