arthury Posted March 11, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 11, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know if the hot-shoe of the M240 is considered a Universal hot-shoe? Thanks, Arthur

arthury Posted March 11, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted March 11, 2014 I am exploring the possibility of getting a radio-enabled flash synching setup using my existing Nikon CLS speedlights and MicroSync2 says the hot-shoe needs to be Universal. I did not see it being described Universal compliant in the M240 manual; so, I asked. Where did you verify that it is Universal?
swamiji Posted March 12, 2014 Share #4 Posted March 12, 2014 The Leica hotshoe is the standard hotshoe, but there is no standard TTL. The contacts are similar to Nikon, but Leica uses them differently so they are not compatible If you are shooting using manual flash this is not a problem. If you expect TTL forget it. However I use PocketWizard plus III with out any problems.
