Roadking09 Posted March 6, 2014 Share #1 Posted March 6, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just installed the firmware update 1.196 on my M9. The entire image parameters menu is now gone-white balance, compression, resolution, exposure comp, bracketing, user profile-all gone. Even the sub-menu that was available on the DNG setup are missing. As a result I cannot use the sharpening, color saturation, contrast, or color management settings. Is this an issue anyone else has seen? Or am I just doing something wrong?

CaptZoom Posted March 6, 2014 Share #2 Posted March 6, 2014 Hi Roadking, I've not had this issue. I'm sure others will weigh in with a possible solution for you. Out curiosity, do you have the camera set to DNG only?
Roadking09 Posted March 6, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted March 6, 2014 I can't tell where it is set. The submenu that normally allows me to select DNG, DNG+JPG, etc. is not there. I can't change anything. At the moment I have a very expensive point and shoot.
RachelR-UK Posted March 6, 2014 Share #4 Posted March 6, 2014 Sounds as if you have it in Snapshot Profile.
Roadking09 Posted March 6, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted March 6, 2014 My first thoughts as well. The problem is the image parameters menu is no longer there. Its is gone. I can't go to the User profile to make a change. It doesn't exist anymore. Also, if I were in snapshot mode I should still be able to change the color saturation and it will not allow me to make any change.
RachelR-UK Posted March 6, 2014 Share #6 Posted March 6, 2014 So if you press the SET button what do you see?
CaptZoom Posted March 7, 2014 Share #7 Posted March 7, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Have you tried downloading the firmware again, and reinstalling it? Is that not possible due to the lack of menu options?
jaapv Posted March 8, 2014 Share #8 Posted March 8, 2014 Did you wait the required three seconds before continuing during the update? Try reinstalling the firmware. You do not need menu options for that, just, as suggested above, insert an SD card with a newly downloaded .upd file on it and reinstall.
Roadking09 Posted March 9, 2014 Author Share #9 Posted March 9, 2014 Problem resolved. I unzipped the update on a different computer with different zip software and now my M9 is working fine. Could be coincidence, but all I care about is the camera is back to normal. Thanks for everyone's input.
