gogopix Posted May 7, 2007 Share #10  Posted May 7, 2007 Thanks for the info Guy. Last year I talked to Bill Maxwell and he also does Visoflex screens, but I got distracted and never followed up with him on details.  Dear Steven  FINALLY got to test your lens. GREAT! (now where was that PORTER you said came with it for trekking? LOL)  Well packed and now I have a big reason to get the viso flex screen fix  Steven, I actually have the Televit wit both mounts (with the viso to R, so I first tried on the DMR. Very noce contrast!.Next with M)  I wonder how many people are thoughtful enough to separately wrap the lens?  Anyway, I look forward to many rewarding but tiirng hours (one shot and I am ALREADY sore :-)  Now on the screens. I actually have two Voisoflex III I am sending one to Bill Maxwell to do ($100) and also buying one from Jim. I will let you long lens people know how it works esp for these tricky low light shots.  regards  Victor
spydrxx Posted May 7, 2007 Share #11 Â Posted May 7, 2007 Guy - your post finally got my lazy tail into gear and after talking to the folks at Britescreen I decided to give them a try on my older Visoflex II to see if it will help as my vision seems to be going into retirement. Â Victor - glad you liked the lens....it was just too big for my routine use. I kept the porter on my payroll for other gear

rsolomon Posted May 7, 2007 Share #13  Posted May 7, 2007 i thought the forum decided not to be a vehicle for seeling product.....maybe im wrong if so sorry.  To me it's one thing to talk about how good a product is and another to details of :  our shipping costs, our most popular styles, our recommendations for customization, our production times, 2 different payment methods  While the spirit of the information is to provide value - the text of the message says "buy this" ....and with the use of the word "our" reads to me as if you are part Brightscreen.  perhaps bright screen should become a sponser. gogopix Posted May 8, 2007 Share #14  Posted May 8, 2007 i thought the forum decided not to be a vehicle for seeling product.....maybe im wrong if so sorry. I suppose could be interpreted that way, but an imporant part of this forum is to share information on products; availability, quality, how they work etc.  Neither Brightscreen nor Maxwell people are here. It is just customers who use and want to share. I should have added that Bill Maxwell will do the crop lines I think for $30 or so.  I agree must be careful, but if we clamp down or get too strict we lose a lot of value. But your point is taken  BTW In Guy's post, I believe the "us" and We etc, all the body is a QUOTE from an ad, not Guy speaking. regards
Guest guy_mancuso Posted May 8, 2007 Share #15 Â Posted May 8, 2007 My only comment is the first line the rest is from Jim at brightscreen. Â Richard sorry i disagree but people value my opinion and i always like to bring options and alternative solutions to forum members to make there leica experience the best it can be. If the Mods deam it inappropiate than it is fine but my part on this forum is to always bring information to people that are looking for it and that is just being a value added member and trying to help those that need it. If that is not wanted than i don't need to be here. Yes you caught me in a bad mood but that is a personal issue so i leave it at that. Good night
wparsonsgisnet Posted May 8, 2007 Share #16 Â Posted May 8, 2007 Guy, I definitely appreciated the info and sent my Viso-3 off to them for the facelift. I am looking forward to a new experience with my M8 as a result. Â Many thanks for the incredible amount of info you and others make available here. Â I've done this, bought adapters from John Milich, made lens purchases based on Sean Reid's reviews, bought software ... in fact, I have a JM 90mm milled adapter, and the WATE filter holder and I don't even have either lens, yet. Â Although we all have a bent (have, not are) and therefore our interest in this forum is not academic, it's easily the most valuable resource I have for my photog. Fun reading, too. Â Regards,
