COBACHOTIX Posted February 5, 2014 Share #1 Posted February 5, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I wonder if anyone could help me with the following problem with my M9 which has the latest update. It suddenly just is as death, not reacting, not working, as if battery would be off. This happens meanwhile I am normally shooting in normal circumstances (full battery, normal working temperature, normal clicking). It is very frustrating because it happens without any notice. It works, I take one or two pictures. Than suddenly it just does not work (it is not a problem of overloading with pictures, the full mashine is as death). In these cases even the exposer is not working -just nothing. Also in these cases it would not even show an image. I than have to take the battery off, than it will eventually work again. It seems not to be a problem with the actual battery, as I have several batteries and this problem has happened with different batteries, all normally load. Perhaps anyone had a similar experience? I would appreciate any help about the topic. Thank you!

StephenPatterson Posted February 5, 2014 Share #2 Posted February 5, 2014 Is this with an M9 or M240? What SD card(s) are you using? If M240 are you using the EVF?
jaapv Posted February 5, 2014 Share #3 Posted February 5, 2014 Old battery? That can lead to an unexpected power cutout. So can dirty battery contacts.
StephenPatterson Posted February 5, 2014 Share #4 Posted February 5, 2014 He has several batteries…perhaps a defective charger?
jaapv Posted February 5, 2014 Share #5 Posted February 5, 2014 Possibly, or clean the camera contacts.
COBACHOTIX Posted February 15, 2014 Author Share #6 Posted February 15, 2014 Thank you for your information which is very helpful. It is with an M9. I use SanDisk 16Gb Extreme Pro. All my batteries are old (at least 6 year old), so it looks it may be (the only think I wonder would be that after switching off the camera, and taking out the battery, it then continues working with a "full" battery... However, it looks that this is the most likely thing. I will also clean the contacts. Thank you a lot for your help and sorry for late reply. Were I live, I have only limited internet access...
