rafael_macia Posted April 22, 2007 Share #1 Posted April 22, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just picked up a Visoflex III and when I got it home I notice the arm is angled too high to reach the shutter button of my MP. The arm comes down only to about the depth of the bottom of the eyelevel prism. Is this a special arm for an M5 perhaps? The screen is different from other Visoflex screens also. The other Visoflexes had a tiny cirlcle in center. This Viso has a larger circle with two vertical short lines the length of the circle on either side of it.It is quite nice. I had read somewhere that Leitz would fit special arms for the M5. Can I still have this one changed back? any Visoflex information is super appreciated! thanks! rafael_macia Posted April 22, 2007 Author Share #3 Posted April 22, 2007 Olof thanks for the reply. I don't have a camera handy to take a photo of mine. But this is a photo of another Visoflex which has a longer screw than mine. My screw is shorter than htis one. And the result is it does not reach the shutter button. There is no product number markings. It looks to be a normal looking Viso III Welcome, dear visitor! doubice Posted April 23, 2007 Share #4 Posted April 23, 2007 Rafael, The Visoflex release is adjustable. By turning the ring at the end of the tripping arm you will be able move the release up and down. All the best, Jan Welcome, dear visitor! It is similar in every other respect except length.

My Visoflex III has a Visoflex II arm screw. I will take it back to Koh's Camera, (wonderful for Leica!), and have Jimmy switch the screw. Thank you again for helping me Rafael
doubice Posted April 23, 2007 Share #7 Posted April 23, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Rafael, The Visoflex III should have a longer screw. If it does not, somebody must have changed it for the one from a Viso II. I think you do have it figured out though...... The different screen point to possibly a special Visoflex version and the shorter screw might have been installed intentionally. All the best, Jan
