hoppyman Posted January 29, 2014 Share #1 Â Posted January 29, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Today I had correspondence with Customer Care in Germany after completing a Customer Survey. As part of a reply message there is an announcement that their move to Leitz Park in Wetzlar is underway. Starting from 17 February their address for correspondence will change.. I guess that they will announce the address officially soon..

Guest Mr. B Posted January 30, 2014 Share #2 Â Posted January 30, 2014 So what is to become of the Solms facility? Will Leica operate from both locations? Mr. B
hoppyman Posted January 30, 2014 Author Share #3 Â Posted January 30, 2014 I don't know, Mr B. Obviously the purpose designed new facilities will be much superior for assembly and every other task where the clean room/work environment standards need to be extremely high. I suspect that they will need every bit of the space and capacity as they continue increasing lens production for example. Possibly you already know, Customer Care and the main facility were two separate locations within Solms. The Customer Care people are definitely relocating as well. On the assembly side there are large gains where they are co-located with some suppliers/providers too I guess.
