ironringer Posted January 29, 2014 Share #1 Posted January 29, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Could classic screwmount users suggest what affordable Leica lens hoods are used for the 1950s Elmar 5 cm, Summitar 5 cm, and Summicron 50 cm lenses? I see from dealers and eBay that some lens hoods are VERY expensive, but maybe there are some that are reasonably priced, in user (not minty collector) quality. I have the barn doors SOOFM hood for the Summitar and Summicron, but a more conventional lens hood would be less awkward. Are there aftermarket (or generic) lens hoods for those screwmount lenses? 250swb Posted January 29, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 29, 2014 Heavystar is the company to look for on Ebay, and they do an adapter so your Summitar can use regular 39mm thread hoods and filters. Steve
