masjah Posted January 23, 2014 Share #1 Posted January 23, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Well, I visited the Owners Area of the Leica website to register my new M, and see about getting my copy of Lightroom. In big red letters it says that Lightroom 5 does not support Windows Vista, which is my OS. I was told to download Lightroom 3.2 instead, which I did (at least the file, I haven't actually done the installation yet). But then I'm warned that 3.2 may not support the llatest Leica Cameras. Oh dear! Please does anyone know (a) Will the current Lightroom 5 in fact work on Vista or ( With Lightroom 3.2, can I download a raw plug in or something, for the M240, which will convert the raw files which the camera produces ANy advice much appreciated! Not sure why they tell you to get 3.2 when you can get 4.4.1. Moved across to Win 7 on my new HP Z1 last week. Will be getting 5.3 later this year. The worst thing is that it tries to force you to get a Microsoft account at every opportunity, like trying to use MAPI.:mad: I love Windows 8 for making me even more thankful that I am usually on Mac. If so, I could use it on my Vista machine to convert to (say) TIFF, and then use the earlier Lightroom that Leica supply. A bit clunky, I know, but it ought to work. jaapv Posted January 25, 2014 Share #10 Posted January 25, 2014 Elements 10 from 2011 supports M240 DNGs on my Macbook Air. I suspect it runs ACR 8.x LR5 is a significant improvement.
