Sorry I'm quite new to the forum although I have been lurking before I got into the Leica. The forum influenced me to try it out and I think Leica is a disease! The only cure is to buy buy buy!

Anyway, there has been a few raves about the black paint version and I have one mounted on my A7r not sure if its the anodised or black paint. Did they even make an anodised Rigid cron or it only happen the version after the rigid? Thanks for shedding some light.

Ouch! That is one of the most disturbing sights I have seen in a long time...:D

I would agree, it looks like a refinished lens. There is no optical difference between a black paint Summicron and a chrome version, but the genuine black paint lenses go for a considerable premium even when chipped and used. This one, even if it was 'new old stock' and never been out the box before, doesn't have the right paint finish to be genuine.
