Epsom Inks

Recommended Posts

Well, for starters, salts came from Epsom, while inks come from Epson. ;)

I don't buy inks by animal names, but rather by cartridge numbers and specs. Epson provides specs regarding ink capacity, longevity, color and various other characteristics. For the 3800, I buy UltraChrome K3 inks with 80ml capacity. The R3000 handles the same inks with 25.9ml capacity, which is what I'd buy if I had one.

Does anybody know why the difference between the various Epsom ink names, eg: Turtle, Cheetah, Owl etc.? I have an Epsom R3000.

The inks for the R3000 are packed in containers with a picture of a turtle on the front. The part numbers begin with T157x (x being the individual ink colour number)
