medved Posted January 18, 2014 Share #1 Posted January 18, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) Considering an M9-P but like to use older Canon lenses, e.g. 25mm, and have a few Voightlander ones as well. Anyone have relevant experience with older wide angle lenses on these models?

pfhrased Posted January 19, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 19, 2014 Considering an M9-P but like to use older Canon lenses, e.g. 25mm, and have a few Voightlander ones as well. Anyone have relevant experience with older wide angle lenses on these models? Not those specifically, but the voigtländer 25mm f4 snapshot skopar screw mount lens works well on the M9 as long as I code as the 21 2.8 elmarit - otherwise there's a lot of magenta casting. The voigtländer 75 f2.5 color heliar works very well without any coding.
plewislambert Posted January 24, 2014 Share #3 Posted January 24, 2014 Considering an M9-P but like to use older Canon lenses, e.g. 25mm, and have a few Voightlander ones as well. Anyone have relevant experience with older wide angle lenses on these models? On my M9 I get good results with a 20mm AF Nikkor and a 17mm Tokina (the latter is better stopped down to f5.6 for sharpness). Neither lens suffers from edge colouring or excessive vignetting. I sold my 21mm and 15mm Voigtlanders as a result. This way I don't need to use Cornerfix unless I am using my 12mm f5.6 Voigtlander (a remarkable lens) although its viewfinder takes some getting used to.. I use the 21mm Voigtlander viewfinder for the 17mm and 20mm mentioned. I only use the 17mm lens if the 20mm can't get everything in that I want, after inspecting the play-back. Hope this encourages you. Philip:)
gjames9142 Posted February 4, 2014 Share #4 Posted February 4, 2014 Works beautifully with a V4 35 Summicron, usually shot between 5.6 and 8.
