Icarus Posted January 15, 2014 Share #1 Posted January 15, 2014 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just received a used Leica R4 today so please excuse the question. While in Automatic shutter speed control with selective measurement (Aperture Priority) when I depress the release button the A in the circle that indicates the mode disappears illustrating that the exposure memory has been set. However the LED's on the right hand side that indicate the shutter speed still change as you recompose the framing. Once the shutter is released the A in the circle reappears. Is the Exposure lock working correctly? It seems weird that the LED's still change after the memory has been stored. Any input would be helpful. Advertisement Posted January 15, 2014 Posted January 15, 2014 Hi Icarus, Take a look here Leica R4 Exposure Lock. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
TomB_tx Posted January 16, 2014 Share #2 Posted January 16, 2014 Yes, even though the exposure is locked the LEDs showing "correct" speed still change to show you the light change. However the speed is still locked. (Happen to be in Jacksonville right now as well...)

SouthWater Posted January 22, 2014 Share #4 Posted January 22, 2014 I thought the changing LEDs were a distraction at first, but they help in judging if I might over or under exposing parts of the scene.
