Die Vulkanberge bei Clermont-Ferrand und Le Mont-Dore im Osten sind nicht weit, im Südosten das Tal der Dordogne und ein paar Kilometer weiter die rauhe Berglandschaft des Cantal. Dazwischen immer wieder kleine pitoreske Städtchen. Eine Gegend, die vom Tourismus noch nicht so überlaufen ist, mit einem ganz anderen Charakter als die Provence, die Du ja schon gut zu kennen scheinst.
